Purpose and function
[uredi kodo]This template is designed to unify the various transliteration schemes and styles employed for Indic scripts. It aims to provide a standard way of representing transliterations.

"lang"
[uredi kodo]The two letter language code (or three letters if the two letter one does not exist) indicating the language of the text. The following languages are recognised by this template:

The language code for Konkani (Goan) is gom. Do not use kon, which would mean Kongo.

[uredi kodo]The Indic script version of the text. You may use indic2 and indic3 for alternative spellings in the same language (although they can be different scripts). If you need to show a different language, use another instance of this template separated by a semi-colon ';'.
"trans"
[uredi kodo]The transliteration of the source script. You may use indic2 and indic3 for alternative spellings in the same language (although they can be different scripts). If you need to show a different language, use another instance of this template separated by a semi-colon ';'.
"defaultipa"
[uredi kodo]The IPA text of the pronunciation of the word in English.
"defaultaudio"
[uredi kodo]An audio file indicating the pronunciation of the word in English.

[uredi kodo]The IPA text of the pronunciation of the word in the source language.
